Brymbo Steelworks 30th Anniversary

Brymbo Heritage Trust were unable to commemorate the 30th anniversary since the close of the former steelworks in Brymbo, North Wales.

We worked with the Trust to create a commemoration film to share with the community digitally via social media.

The film was created using archive footage and some of the footage we'd shot at past events for the organisation.

This was a great way to engage with the local community during difficult times through lockdown and remember past times of trouble; and how things can improve if we pull together as a community.

Crown Buildings

This is a video produced for Read Construction of Crown Buildings in the City of Wrexham. Read was in the process of refurbishing the building and making it more economically friendly. They went on to win awards for the building and its design.

Turton Tower

Turton Tower wanted to share stories from the past so visitor groups can learn about the history of the Tower from their classroom.

Working with voluntary costumed interpreters we filmed a couple of informational videos over two days. These were edited together for their new website ready for promotion to new groups to visit.

Remembrance Day 2020

Oil over acrylic painting techniques and tutorial with Scott Naismith I Colour In Your Life

In this fine art TV show episode Scott Naismith is interviewed with Colour In Your Life about painting, drawing, art workshops, art tips and art techniques. https://www.patreon.com/user?u=4830007 https://www.youtube.com/c/ColourinyourlifeAu New fine art TV show episodes loaded every Wednesday AEST. https://www.facebook.com/PutSomeColourInYourLife/ https://www.colourinyourlife.com.au/ Fine Art TV Series - Colour In Your Life Season - 17 Episode - 03 Filmed on Location at - Scotland, United Kingdom With the ambition to become an artist, Scott Naismith studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee. In June 2000 he left with a BDes in Illustration and printmaking. Since graduating Scott has been a full time artist, working from his studio in Glasgow. Much of his time is spent travelling around the country looking for inspiration for another depiction of the Scottish landscape. The many lochs, glens and isles of the West coast are amongst his favourite subject matter for his vibrant and atmospheric oils. Scott has been lecturing part time since 2004 and now lectures one day a week at the creative arts department of West College Scotland. Scott Naismith uses vivid colours in a vigorous application to represent the fast changing light conditions of the West coast of Scotland. Colour use often becomes an entirely emotional response to the subject while values can remain representational. The love he has for his native Scottish countryside is portayed in his work through an ebullient energy with which he handles the colour with palette knife and brush. Scotts recent work concentrates on transitional skies and the many colours involved when light breaks through cloud. These changing skies from dark to light are a metaphor for optimism and hope. After a miraculous recovery from cancer by his father, recent marriage and birth of his 2 children, Scott Naismith draws upon a great positivity and energy.
