FILM
Leon recently had the opportunity to serve as Director of Photography on several exciting Wrexham-based projects.
The first of these is Henry House, a poignant drama set in a care home and featuring an impressive cast of well-known actors, including Annette Badland (Ted Lasso, Disney), Ian McNeice (Doctor Who, Doc Martin), Mark Benton (Shakespeare & Hathaway, BBC), and Mark Lewis Jones (Star Wars, Game of Thrones, Gangs of London). At the heart of the story is the compelling dynamic between lead characters Izzy Orchard, played by the talented Orla Jones, and Paul Hashimoto, portrayed by Peter Purves, whose chemistry Leon has had the privilege of capturing on screen.
Produced by Rocking Horse Media, Henry House not only highlights seasoned actors but also champions emerging local talent and performers with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), creating a unique and inclusive production environment. Currently, in post-production, Henry House will soon be pitched to networks and distributors.
More recently, Leon wrapped work on the proof-of-concept short Up The Town, directed by Ian Puleston-Davies. Having previously collaborated with Ian on a short film, Leon was thrilled to join him again for this Win the Crowd Films production. Up The Town follows the story of a brotherly duo, played by Dean Fagan and Harrison Tipping, as they find themselves in an unexpected and intriguing situation.
